If I’m totally honest when I was first given the course reader (Professional Communications Technology) I put off reading it until recently so I thought it was well overdue to start writing a few notes about my own ideas and theories about using such technologies as Web 2.0 in the work place.
I think that over a short period of time most technology has been quickly developing and expanding so obviously the way in which we use technology in the work place is constantly altering. And whether anyone of us likes this change or not, we cannot stop this change and development in technology from happening and for us to keep up-to-date within the work place and with the rest of the world we have to practise using such technologies.
The internet has dramatically altered the way we communicate, share things and collaborate with others near and far. So while the internet has developed and is constantly developing it has made us change the nature in which we professionally work and within our social interactions.
I found it very interesting while exploring some of the important debates and the different theoretical perspectives on the role of Web 2.0 and look forward to digging deeper into my own opinion, thoughts and ideas on this topic.
Through this course and my studies I very much look forward to using the varies Web 2.0 platforms and I think that some of the Web 2.0 based tasks set out for us to do will help me with my learning but I think the more useful and important part of using Web 2.0 on this course will be sharing my own thoughts, ideas and experiences with others that are on the course but also those within my wider community/networks (and also commenting with my own opinion on other peoples blogging experiences).

Web 2.0 is after all just another tool. I agree with you, its about using it to your advantage, and to the advantage of your projects and close associates and importantly 'but also those within my wider community/networks'. Its interesting that the technology can be used for so many different purposes ... to stay in touch ... to broadcast your professional profile to enhance your work prospects ... to collaborate with others ... and the list goes on.
I like your Blog ... its professional in look and the things you say.
