Looking back over the last week on my work with Young People

Highlights of the week while working with Young People:
• Engaging with the YP and establishing a professional relationship with both children and YP and also my fellow workers.
• Getting positive feedback from the children and YP of what they would like to see within our drama workshops and also what days and times are suitable for them to come to a session.
• Introducing Sanana and Meshika to the YP seemed to gain a very positive response from all YP.
• Getting a real good sense from the YP about the coming sessions that were going to provide.

Nice bullet points and see that introducing other network colleagues going on... what was the positive feedback... what form did it take?

After a week of ‘Question of the week’ being up, we found that Saturday afternoons was the most popular day that children and young people wanted to see drama sessions.
Whilst discussing what we wanted to bring to the table regarding our classes, young people seemed very positive and were giving their own ideas about what they would like to see at our sessions.
The rest of the staff at the life centre totally encouraged our classes and could see the great outcomes that performing arts could bring to the children and young people here and offered their help and support if needed.
All we are waiting for now is the go ahead on space, money and time, which in this setting could take a few months knowing the current management/ the size of the build/ the high demand of the spaces but I think we have the time, we can get on with other things such as planning, promoting and inviting around the local area.
